How I got here

My first job in this industry was working the front desk at a med spa while I was in cosmetology school. My mom was the provider there. She's a nurse, a national clinical manager and an international laser trainer who has trained providers around the world, won awards and spent years doing pro bono treatments. Watching her taught me that education is the most powerful thing you can offer someone.

From there I finished cosmetology school, went to college for business and then went to laser school. I've treated patients, trained providers and taught doctors aesthetics. I spent years with international laser companies as a clinical trainer, was named Clinical Trainer of the Year and became a director over six states. I've also consulted for laser companies and med spas on the industry and the technology.

And I've had the treatments done myself. So when I tell you what's worth it, what to skip and what you can DIY, I'm speaking from every side of the room.

Why this exists

I'm a beauty girl through and through and I love all things beauty. I'm also in my 40s, I'm aging and I want to look and feel my best for a long time... and I know I'm not the only one.

So this is your resource for navigating aesthetics: what's worth your money, what you can DIY and what's worth booking with a pro. The same goes for skincare, wellness and all of it.

I'm your girls' girl who's in it too. I know a lot, but I'm still figuring things out and I'll be the one testing it for you.

What I believe

I try everything and I share what I actually think. You don't need medical-grade everything to have great skin.

I believe we should all understand our own skin well enough to ask the right questions and advocate for ourselves. I'm still a per diem laser trainer, a full-time content creator and a forever student of this industry. I go to seminars, test as many products and treatments as I can and stay in clinics because I love it.

Off the clock

One more thing you should probably know about me... I'm in my 40s and loving it. I'm a mom, I live between two states, I'm always on the road and my life is anything but conventional. I'm obsessed with anything beautiful, whether that's a great restaurant, a good cocktail, a concert, a killer outfit or a really good highlighter. Hip hop is always playing. I go out, I dress up, I show up. I'm a girls' girl through and through, and I'm too old to be anything but happy for the people around me. All of that lives here too.
